Module Additional Assessment Details
You will generate a proposal for an E-Learning project that incorporates detailed research into the underlying theories of educational multimedia. You will demonstrate originality in the application of this knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how they will be applied in the proposed solution. The report will also include a competitive analysis of E-Learning environments/artefacts currently on the market and a detailed description of the designated user group. It will also include a node map and a brief functional specification for your proposed E-Learning project. (5000 words)
Module Indicative Content
This module is designed to introduce you to the concepts and theories of educational multimedia, including distance education theory. Working with an external `client/teacher? you will identify an educational need where multimedia is the appropriate solution. You will generate a project proposal that outlines the necessary educational multimedia approach based on your clients needs.
Module Learning Strategies
1. Read the assigned texts and attend lectures and tutorials to discuss the readings.
2. Review existing Computer Assisted Learning artefacts
3. Work closely with a `client/teacher? to gather information about the subject matter and the targeted user group.
