Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will produce a portfolio of evidence.
This will contain:
Continuing Personal Development
- Updated CV
- Copy of Needs Analysis from Module 1
- Copy of reflective statement upon Need Analysis, including targets met in Module 5. (400 words)
- Module 10 version of reflective statement upon Need Analysis, including targets met. (400 words)
- A selection of 3 work based tasks from each module (6-9)
- A CRB Certificate, valid 3 years prior to start date of course
- Achievement Certificate of NQF Level 2 or above
Continuing Work Placement Development
- Copies of feedback from all 3 work placement observations carried out during Modules 4, 5 and 6.
- Personal evaluations of each of the work placement observations. (200 words each)
- Reflective statement upon the observation process and how this has differed from Module 5 observations (500 words)
- Copies of Personal Mentor discussions
Continuing Work Placement Organisational Understanding
- Critical account of the organisation and how it compares to differing organisations within the similar educational fields - e.g. private education, religious denomination, independent, 6th form college etc (500 words)
- A critical discussion on a piece of recent policy or initiative which has either changed the organisation or has particular importance to the organisation - e.g. Every Child Matters Agenda, revised curricular (500 words)

Module Indicative Content
This portfolio module will enable students to reflect upon the work based nature of the course so far.
Students will be guided on their portfolio content via face-to-face tutorials and electronic support. The course VLE will be used extensively which will direct students' reflections upon their work based learning.
This module will cover the following topics:
Reflection of skills analysis (from modules :- BSB10263-1, BSB10264-1, BSB10265-1, BSB10266-1, BSB10267-1)
Examples of work based tasks
Personal development journal
Reflections upon series of work based observations
Written accounts of the organisation
Module Learning Strategies
The majority of learning within this module will be directed within the workplace. This learning will draw upon experiences taken place during Modules BSB10268-2, BSB20269-2, BSB10270-2, BSB10271-2.
A series of observations by Personal Mentor, College Tutor and School Peer will be reflected upon. The course VLE will be used to engage students in discussions on these observations and support the in reflecting upon the process.
Tutorial support will be accessed by student from the College Tutor.
