Details - A group presentation (15%), peer assessment evaluation of group work (5%) and an individual report (80%) based on student delivered live event (tests learning outcomes 1&2)
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment) Of this there will be 36 hours of class support and 114 hours of independent and self directed study. Lectures will provide students with a broad overview of the indicative content of the module. Tutorial support activities will include individual and group activities, discussions, case study analysis and event delivery 24 hours of formal lectures/large group activity 12 hours of tutorials
Module Indicative Content
The purpose of this module is to provide students with an introduction to fundraising and its valuable role in events management. It will be based around a live student event and will include an overview of application forms, a consideration of the development of fundraising practice
and its importance to event management. It will also include: The fundraising planning process, marketing research for fundraising, fundraising from individuals, major gift fundraising, community fundraising and corporate fundraising. Critical issues in fundraising
