Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module covers different research methodologies. It provides the tools and techniques for completion of the final year investigation. The topics covered are: ideas generation, reviewing and evaluation of literature, research approaches and strategies, access and ethical issues, sampling techniques, secondary data sources, observational and interview research, questionnaire design and development, analysing quantitative and qualitative data and discussion of findings.

Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires you to commit to 150 learning hours (including assessment). The module will incorporate a flexible learning strategy that combine lectures, tutorials, consultation sessions (24 hours of formal lectures/large group activities, 12 hours of tutorials). The remaining hours of independent learning time will focus on self-assessment questions (with model answers), appropriate reading and secondary research. Learning support material will be provided for the module.
