Module Indicative Content
Within this module students will be introduced to the design and development process for character concepts. The processes required to translate structural anatomy into convincing organic forms and the background to the interpretation of these forms.

Students will cover the following topics:
- Translation of traditional sketches into 2D applications
- Preparing Line Art, digital image creation, manipulation, compositing and filtering
- Layers, Paths masks and alpha channel manipulation and blends
- Selections rasters and vector art
- Physics, psychology of movement and action
- Automated workflow and memory management
- Introduction to lighting and colour theory and perception
- Colour modes channels and tonal adjustment, colour management, accurate printing, technical aspects of File types and formats.
