Module Indicative Content
This module involves the creation, development and distribution for CD-ROM and the Internet. This includes
1. Creation of multimedia assets;
- Graphics,
- Digital video
- Digital audio.

2. Technology issues regarding graphics, digital video and digital audio.
3. Principles of compression and decompression for graphics, digital video and digital audio.
4. Introduction to multimedia authoring principles and paradigms.
Module Learning Strategies
3 hours per week contact time will be in the form of lecture/tutorial sessions. Time will be spent working through examples and practical assignment work. This time will be supported by on-line material.
