Module Learning Strategies
Student learning is centred around 12 one hour Lectures and 12 two hour Laboratory sessions

Learning on all aspects of the module will be facilitated by lectures and tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using laboratory equipment and a simulation package will support the learning.
Module Indicative Content
1.To develop skills in graphics technology using current Industry Standard software.
2. Techniques and skills in vector based image production to develop interfaces for 3D modelling, animation in After Effects and integration with similar software
3. Develop specific skills in
- Bezier curve usage
- Path manipulation
- Live paint
- Live trace
- Transforms
- Selections and shapes
- Colour and painting
Module Additional Assessment Details
A PRACTICAL weighted at 50%. A REPORT length 1500 words weighted at 50%
Individual technical report (1,500 words) assessing learning outcomes 1 & 2
Practical design based assessment in the creation of still imagery which will assess learning outcome 3
