Module Indicative Content
Students will learn,
1. An apppreciation of target audience when selecting ideas for development
2. How to develop the basic narrative idea
3. The construction and development of character
4. The basic of themes, genre and plot
5. Narrative styles and construction
6. Correct script formatting for drama and documentary productions
7. How to produce an outline and treatment of scripts for drama and documentary productions
Module Additional Assessment Details
A 50 word outline and 500 word treatment for (1) a five minute, short drama and (2) a five minute documentary (weighting 30%) which will assess Learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
A five page narrative script developed from each outline and treatment (weighting 70%) which will assess Learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
