2. How to develop the basic narrative idea
3. The construction and development of character
4. The basic of themes, genre and plot
5. Narrative styles and construction
6. Correct script formatting for drama and documentary productions
7. How to produce an outline and treatment of scripts for drama and documentary productions
Module Additional Assessment Details
Coursework [weighted at 100% and addressing LO 1-3] comprising:
A 50 word outline for a short drama
A 500 word treatment developed from the 50 word outline
A typically 5-10 page drama script based on the 500 word treatment
Module Learning Strategies
This module will enable students to gain understanding, apply knowledge, analyse and evaluate problems and create solutions through a variety of activities, including lectures, blended learning, practical sessions, student centred learning activities, directed but independent student learning and small group tutorials.
