Module Learning Strategies
The module requires 300 learning hours (including assessment) of which a minimum of 48 hours will be directly supported learning (including lectures, workshops, case studies, discussions, videos, etc). There will be extensive work-based activity in preparing the assessments and a significant amount of monitored environmental scanning and in depth reading. The module will also be supported administratively and pedagogically by the use of the Blackboard VLE, which will provide, amongst other things, opportunities for forum discussions and student communication. There will be opportunities for formative feedback, evaluation and reflection.
Module Indicative Content
The module delivery will focus on the link between team analysis and development and performance management. Candidates will review a range of theoretical models and tools. They will critically evaluate the performance culture and methods of their own organisation, including the links with organisational objectives, and the means by which performance criteria are identified, set and monitored. They will conduct analysis and action planning in respect of team development to meet performance needs.
