Module Learning Strategies
The direct content hours (36) may consist of a combination of conventional lectures and participant-led tutorials. All participants will be provided with a module handbook, which introduces the 'agenda' for lectures and tutorials and provides detailed briefs, including additional 'stimulus' material and directed readings. Whilst the tutor will input some essential ideas on the main issues, candidates will be expected to carry out research and take part in tutorial discussions to develop these ideas.
Learning strategies will include: tutor-led lectures, learning through participant led tutorials, self-directed learning and reflection through readings.

Module Indicative Content
This module aims to take both a strategic and operational view of Supply Chain Management and how effective it can be in supporting and driving organisational objectives and in achieving competitive advantage. It is based on the concept of a Supply Chain being the flow of information, goods, services and finance in both upstream and downstream directions, taking into account both supplier and customer relationships and may cover:

Module Additional Assessment Details
Examination will be in part based on a pre-seen case study that will be given to students in advance of the examination date.
Students may bring notes into the examination room not exceeding one side of A4 paper or 600 words. This is not an 'open book' examination. It is weighted at 100% and will assess all Learning Outcomes
