Module Learning Strategies
You will attend 9 x 2 hour weekly sessions, followed by an assignment workshop.
During these sessions, you will take part in a team problem-based learning activity. This will involve working in small groups, facilitated by a tutor. You will investigate a work-based situation which will give you the opportunity to analyse the impact of change on an educational organisation, and apply principles of effective change and stress management.

You will access paper and Blackboard based materials to support the team activity. You will attend workshops where you will explore the individual impact of stress and change, and develop own stress management strategies. You will engage in reflection on team and individual activities via PebblePAD.
Module Indicative Content
During this module, you will explore the principles of effective change management, developing an awareness of how people react to change and how preparation and planning can lead to more effective change management. You will review natural reactions to change and investigate methods for overcoming resistance; you will explore the application of change management strategies to the workplace.

You will investigate definitions of stress, symptoms and triggers, and how to deal effectively with stress in relation to self and others. You will consider the effects of stress on your own work performance and on others and identify appropriate means for reducing stress.

Use an e-portfolio system to develop:
A critical incident log, focusing on own experiences of work- or study ? related change and stress, demonstrating linkage to principles and strategies explored during the module
An action plan to implement a system change, including a consideration of the impact of the change at organisational and individual level, and application of principles of effective change and stress management.
