Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment). Of this there will be 30 hours of course-room contact and 120 self-directed study. The programme will place a premium on developing critical thinking and analytical capabilities that can be applied in management situations.
The workshops will focus on the investigation process and the key aspects relating to the coursework assignment. They will include talks and facilitated group discussion, peer review, group working and presentations based on group research, focusing on the application of new knowledge and skills in relation to the student's workplace.
Students will be required to research some of their own materials and share them in the workshops.
Learning support material will be provided for the module in the form of handouts, PowerPoint presentations and materials generated in the workshops themselves together with relevant support material on flipchart.
