Module Indicative Content
Effective communication is key to directing and establishing the context for a film. This requires directors to translate their vision for the narrative and non-narrative form and be able to communicate this to their actors, their production team and to the audience.
Thus students will explore the preparation required to direct a cast of performers, including the investors, the process of establishing how to cast actors to characterise and embody the characterisations of the film.
The key art of the director is to translate their vision into film form and student will explore the skills required to achieve this through lighting, editing and post-production editing techniques and production values.
