Module Details
Module Learning Strategies
You will attend 9 weekly sessions, followed by an assignment workshop.

A variety of learning and teaching methods will be used such as presentations by specialist practitioners, group discussions, case studies, role plays and task centred investigations.

In addition you will be required to engage in independent study in order to consolidate and build upon your learning from the taught sessions. This will take the form of undertaking follow-up tasks, work based investigations, and reading relevant literature.
Module Additional Assessment Details
This module will be assessed by:

A detailed 'SWOT' analysis with appendices (1800 words - 100%), based on reflective analysis of own learning journey throughout the programme, identifying own strengths and weaknesses, opportunities for further development, and threats which may hinder own development (learning outcome 1 ? partially; learning outcome 2). The appendices will comprise:

1. An example of an appropriate communication strategy to enhance own development (learning outcome 3).
2. A set of goals to facilitate own development in the context of the SWOT analysis (learning outcome 1 - partially).

This module will give you an opportunity to reflect on your learning journey so far, and to identify goals and strategies for further development.

You will engage in individual and group activities reflecting on your personal, professional, career and academic development. Based on this analysis, you will explore the routes to progress within these contexts. To facilitate your progress, you will identify appropriate communication methods to enhance your career development, for example effective appraisee skills, strategies to enhance your role, application and interview skills. You will explore personal goal setting strategies to foster the implementation of own development plans.
