Module Additional Assessment Details
Select a fashion house and prepare a critical analysis of the success of the designer's vision and it translation into production values and the use of the design and visual image. (50%)

In a group produce a sample garment having allocated roles to the group to play different roles in the production process (25%)

Reflect on the production and the roles involved and how the team or the concept might have been improved. (25%)

To pass this module student must obtain 40% marks. Re-assessment is capped at 40%
Module Indicative Content
Finding your niche in business requires you to understand your strengths and weaknesses such that you can work to develop your skills and direct your activities to the opportunities the market presents.
You will understand how to construct a personal development plan and develop a knowledge of professional practice.
In preparation for your graduate activities you will be given the opportunity to understand the building blocks of a successful business plan and how to set up, manage and promote your business.
The ability to take a holistic overview of projects allows you to design, plan and implement your ideas more effectively. Thus the module will help you to work more systematically through your panning phases to provide you with a set of transferrable skills.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 300 learning hours, of this there will be 75 hours of class support and 225 hours of independent and self directed study.

Apart from the lecture each week, various other methods as mentioned above will be used as learning strategies.
There will be laboratory and tutorial sessions, students will be required to discuss and present various topics of the module in the class. Students will be required to apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts.
Students are expected to be able to structure their own work and to work relatively independently under the guidance of the module teaching staff.
