Module Additional Assessment Details
Adapt a known script or screen play into a new production outline (the best scripts for the new production will be selected for the next stage) (25%)

As a team prepare a production schedule for a selected production and allocate roles within the production team (50%)

Shoot a pilot 10min pilot playing out the roles you have been given (25%)

To pass this module student must obtain 40% marks. Re-assessment is capped at 40%
Module Indicative Content
In this module students will develop a greater understanding of production techniques and values in terms of the bringing together team working, pre-production and the introduction of different visual perspectives through the use of multiple cameras, managing studio floors, the function of studio galleries and practicing the associated skills. Students will be tasked to collaborate as a team to produce a production piece where working with others as team members and skills resources will help develop these critical skills.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 300 learning hours, of this there will be 75 hours of class support and 225 hours of independent and self directed study.

Apart from the lecture each week, various other methods as mentioned above will be used as learning strategies.
There will be laboratory and tutorial sessions, students will be required to discuss and present various topics of the module in the class. Students will be required to apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts.
Students are expected to be able to structure their own work and to work relatively independently under the guidance of the module teaching staff.
