This module is designed to explore the operational responsibilities of the manager taking the customer as the starting point. It will cover the following areas:

understanding customers needs
link between customer needs and quality
planning work
health & safety ? law & practice
efficient and effective use of resources to optimise performance
performance indicators
working to a budget
costs implications
Module Additional Assessment Details
A 1200 word assignment report - 80% (LO 1,3-4)
A 1hr Exam - 20% (LO 2)

OR

A work based project of 2500 words covering all learning outcomes - 100%
Module Learning Strategies
This module requires candidates to commit to 150 learning hours (including assessment) of which a minimum of 24 hours will be direct supported learning (including lectures, tutorials, workshops, case studies, in-class group discussions, videos, workbooks and computer-based learning). This number of hours may increase due to client-specific requirements. During your independent study you will be expected to analyse company specific data, research academic literature and complete electronic information gathering in order to widen your subject knowledge to satisfactorily complete a work based assignment.
