Module Indicative Content
This unit explores the process of developing new products using a systematic and strategic project management approach that encompasses the utilisation of planning tools that might be used through a typical projects life cycle; it further considers issues of governance, stakeholder involvement and the need to effectively manage project risk and quality.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit to 150 learning hours (including assessment). Of this there will be 36 hours of class contact or workshops and 114 hours of independent and self-directed study.
Delivery is primarily via specially written study material and exercises, linked to selected journals , in addition a range of study materials will be also available within 'Blackboard'.

Module Additional Assessment Details
An assignment of 3000 words weighted at 100% which will be based upon the critical appraisal of a project management case study. Covers all Learning Outcomes.
