Module Details
Module Indicative Content
The module provides participants with the opportunity to undertake Conferencing and Writing for Publication activity in an area of particular interest to them and of relevance to their wider subject community within their own subject discipline. Work should have a focus on teaching and learning or andragogical principles in higher or professional education.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Formative Assignment
Prepare a plan outlining the framework for the Conferencing and Writing for Publication activities that will form the focus of work during the module programme.
Conferencing and Writing for Publication activity that has been completed previously will not be considered for this purpose
Summative Assignment
Option 1:
Participants may use an electronic tool to develop a webfolio that details the full `journeyż of work undertaken during the Conferencing and Writing for Publication module programme. The submitted webfolio should include all relevant materials including conference presentations, published or submitted papers, podcasts, video recordings and similar. It should also contain reflective accounts in the form of a diary or log that provides evidence of the `journeyż undertaken by the participant. Submitted work should demonstrate strong linkage to the formative aspects detailed above.
Option 2:
Participants may submit a heat-bound record of events and reflective work undertaken during the Conferencing and Writing for Publication module programme. The submitted record should include all relevant materials including conference presentations, published or submitted papers, podcasts, video recordings and similar. It should also contain reflective accounts in the form of a diary or log that provides evidence of the `journeyż undertaken by the participant. Module Learning Strategies
Tutorial sessions (up to 5 hours max.) are to be negotiated with a nominated tutor. The tutorials should be arranged to coincide with key times in the module programme. The formative assignment will form the focus of the first meeting.

Students will be expected to engage with independent reading, which should include texts, journals, websites, and other germane resources that are pertinent to their negotiated and agreed learning outcomes.
Current thinking from the identified resources should be embedded within all assessment submissions and should inform critical and reflective practice at all stages of the process.
